The 26st International Nahum Goldmann Fellowship in Uruguay

The Memorial Foundation is planning to hold the next International Nahum Goldmann Fellowship in Uruguay at the Hotel Nirvana, Colonia, on June 10-16, 2014.

The Fellowship will focus on the following themes: The Global Jewish Community: Jewish Identity in a Secular World, Wrestling with Modernity, Transforming Jewish Communities, The Imperatives of Leadership, and The Zionist Enterprise.

As you can see from the attached program, we have assembled a marvelous faculty of distinguished academics and scholars from around the Jewish world. The faculty includes Prof. Ismar Schorsch, President, Memorial Foundation, Professor of Jewish History and former Chancellor, Jewish Theological Seminary of America; Prof. Avinoam Rosenak, former Chair, Dept. of Jewish Philosophy and Thought, Hebrew University, Jerusalem; Prof. Daniel Fainstein, Dean, Universidad Hebraica, Mexico; Prof. Sylvia Barak Fishman, Chair, Dept. of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, Brandeis University; Dr. Steven Bayme, Director, Contemporary Jewish Life, American Jewish Committee; Prof. Saul Berman, Adjunct Professor, Columbia University School of Law; and Prof. Steven Windmueller, Professor of Jewish Communal Service, Hebrew Union College, U.S.A.
